Like most fitness and health enthusiast, last weekend I attended Europe’s largest fitness and health event; Body Power Exhibition 2015. Thousands attended the event held at the NEC Birmingham and it was definitely one not to be missed! I was fortunate enough to spend the weekend working with the amazing V3 Apparel team at their stand U106.
Many people have pre-conceptions about Body Power, the majority being that only professional body builders and models attend such event, however if you attended you would quickly realise that this is a mis-conception. The range of different types of people, shapes, sizes and ages who attended throughout the weekend was so inspiring. Everyone in attendance shared the same passion and was there for one reason…to get motivated for their own personal journey.
Body Power provided a first hand experience on how the fitness industry is evolving to accommodate the variety of individuals and upcoming trends within the health and fitness market. During the weekend I had the opportunity to sample various foods and health supplements; my favourite being the dairy free watermelon-strawberry frozen yoghurt from Yogland. For someone like myself with food intolerances, it was great to see how the fitness industry is emphasising the importance of health and nutrition.
I was also fortunate enough to meet and talk with Chef Lorraine Pascale after she had done a demonstration within the Healthy Eating Kitchen section, she is a great advocate for healthy eating and it was very insightful talking with her.
I had a brilliant weekend, with the most amazing team and I gained a new perspective on the fitness world. I have also returned from Body Power with the motivation and desire to push my body to it’s limits.
The Countdown to Body Power 2016 has began…
